The  Rules of  Life

![]()
Each  new  day  is  a  blank  page  in  the  diary  of
our
life.
The secret of success is in turning that diary into the best story we possibly can.
	ACCEPT   YOURSELF
When you know yourself, you are empowered.  When you accept yourself, you are invincible.  If you can't accept something, you need to change it.  If you can't change it, you need to accept it.  We are only haunted by the things we refuse to accept.
Be yourself, but always be your best self.
	ATTITUDE
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.  A

bad attitude is like a flat tire.
You can't go anywhere until you change it.  Don't start your day with the broken pieces of yesterday.  Make peace with your broken pieces.  Start each day with a grateful heart.  Don't ruin a new day by thinking about yesterday.
	Develop and maintain a positive
attitude.  Don't decide your future.  Decide your habits, and your habits decide your future.  Be strong when you are weak, brave when you are scared, and humble when you are victorious.
AVOID  NEGATIVITY
Your body hears everything your mind says.  Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died.
Negative feelings come from negative thoughts.  A negative mind will
never give you a positive life; you can't live a positive life with a
negative mind.  A positive mind always finds a reason to shine.
The optimist sees the rose and
not its thorns; the pessimist stares at
the thorns, oblivious to the rose.  Avoid negative thoughts, situations, and people.  Dirty water doesn't stop plants from growing, so don't let negative words stop your progress.  Live life to the fullest and focus on the positive.  If you are positive, you'll see opportunities instead of obstacles.
BE  GRATEFUL
Gratitude turns what we have into enough.  Be thankful for what we have; we’ll end up having more.  It is not joy that makes us grateful.  It is gratitude that makes us joyful.  Be grateful for all the things that make your life bright, beautiful, and peaceful.
	BE  HAPPY
There is no beauty without happiness.  Allow yourself to enjoy each happy moment in your life.  When you love what you have, you have everything you need.  Happy people focus on what they have.  Unhappy people focus on what's missing.  One of the keys to happiness is minding your own business.  The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg.
	BE  HONEST

Honesty is the first chapter in the book
	of wisdom.

Rather fail with honor than succeed with fraud.  Never lie, never cheat, and never steal.  Even the smallest lie can break the biggest trust.  Being honest may not make you many friends, but it will always make you the right friend.  The wrong people will leave the party but the right ones will join the dance.
Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, and forever to repair.  Your body will not absorb cholesterol if you take it from another person's plate.
	BE  KIND
Kindness is a reflection of your soul; it doesn't cost a thing, yet it's the richest gift you can give.  You have the power to make people feel good.  Be kind to
unkind people.  Be kind to everyone, not just mankind.  Being a
	good person
	is a little like
expecting the bull not to attack you
	because
	you are a vegetarian.

	BE  HUMBLE

Pride makes us artificial, and humility makes us real.
A tree will bend when it bears fruit.  Act like you can't afford the bread until they find out you own the bakery.
Have more than you show, speak less than you know.

	BE  RESPECTFUL

Respect for ourselves guides our morals; respect for others guides our
manners.  Disrespect will close doors that apologies can't reopen.  Treat everyone with politeness and kindness, not because they are nice, but because you are.  You can demand courtesy, but you have to earn respect.
Never take a person's dignity for granted; it is worth everything to them and nothing to you.
Don't judge by appearances.  A rich heart may be under a poor coat.  Never
judge the future of a person based on their current situation.
Time has the power to change black coal into a shiny
diamond.  Treat everyone with respect.  Take your heart on a peaceful journey.
	BE  RESPONSIBLE
	  Flies
don't think they are poisonous.  Rats never think that what they
	eat is stolen.    Dealing
with reality or reality will deal with you.

Prioritize yourself and take full responsibility for your actions.  Accept the consequences of your actions: apologize, ask for help, clean up your own mess, and think of others before you act.
	RECOGNIZE  YOUR  MISTAKE
If you get on the wrong train, get off at the nearest station, the longer it takes you to get off, the more expensive the return trip will be.
Everyone deserves a second chance, but not for the same mistake.  Mistakes that gave you wisdom, and suffering that gave you strength.  Sometimes you have to eat your words, chew your ego, swallow your pride, and accept your mistakes.  Get out of your head and back on your feet.  The first to apologize is the bravest.  The first to forgive is the strongest.  The first to forget is the happiest.  No one is perfect.  That's
	why pencils have erasers.
	FAILURE

	BE  SMART
A clever person solves a problem; a wise person avoids it.

Intelligence is doing things right; wisdom is
doing the right things.  Born to stand out, not just to fit in.   Don't wait for the perfect moment; take the moment and make it perfect.  Great decisions are made by ordinary people with extraordinary determination.
Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.
BE  THE  CHANGE
Everybody wants to change the world, but nobody wants to change toilet paper.  Crisis drives change; change brings opportunity.
Life does not get better by chance.  It gets better with change.  Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.  If you don't create change, the change will create you.

	BE  STRONG
Every new day is a new chance to shine.  A new chance to reach the sky.  If you want to fly, give up everything that weighs you down.  Ships don't sink because of the water around them; they sink because of the water that gets in them.  Don't let what's happening around you get inside you and weigh you down.  Never let your fear decide your fate.  A
bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking because her trust is not in the branch but in her own wings.  If you don't spread your wings, you will not discover how far you can fly.  Don't be afraid of being outnumbered.
Eagles fly alone.  Pigeons flock together.  If you hang out with
chickens, you're going to cluck.  You can't soar like an
eagle when you surround yourself with
	turkeys.
	COURAGE  TO
	CHANGE
Life has no remote; get up and change it yourself.  Old keys don't unlock new doors.  Bad habits are like a comfortable bed—easy to get into but hard to get out of.  Comfort and change do not dwell together.  If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old.
The trees sway in the wind, learn to adapt and bend in the face of change.  Change is painful.  But nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don't belong.  Life does not get better by chance.  It gets better with
	change.
If you do not step forward, you will always be in the same place.  Don't use the broken pieces to rebuild the old picture; instead, create a new one.  Don't carry your mistakes around with you.  Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them.

	BITE  YOUR  TONGUE
The tongue of the fool is always long.  When you are with friends, mind your tongue.  When you are angry, mind your temper.  A slip of the tongue is worse than a slip of foot.  Your mean words can scare a person for life.  They can only be forgiven, not forgotten.  If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.  If you can't be kind, be quiet.  A gentle word opens an iron gate.  The
tongue has no bones but is strong enough to break a heart.
	DON'T  COMPARE
Compare yourself to who you were yesterday, not to who someone else is today.  A seed can't grow if it's constantly jumping from garden to garden.
A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it.  It just blooms.  When a flower doesn't bloom, you fix the environment in which it grows, not the flower.  If the grass is greener on the other side, it's probably getting better care.  Water your own grass.  Don't grow green grass by focusing on a neighbor's garden; do it by nurturing your own.  Instead of wasting time comparing your path to someone else's.  The grass is green where you water it.
	DON'T  GIVE  UP
The past is a stepping stone, not a
milestone.  No matter how you feel, get up, dress up, show up, and never give up.  If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.  If it doesn't work the first time, find another way.  If you can't find a way, make one.  You learn more from failure than from success; don't let it stop you.
Life is difficult for everyone; everyone has bad days.
	You will
never reach your destination if you stop and
throw stones at every dog that barks
!  Keep your head up, never give up, and keep moving forward until you reach your destination.  If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit.  If you don't fight for what you want, then don't cry for what you lost.  Challenges are inevitable, defeat is optional.
	HALT
	Hungry -
	 Angry -
	 Lonely - Tired
Take time off.  The world will not fall apart without you.
Be enough for yourself first.  The rest of the world can wait.  Take your time.  But don't waste your time.  Take the break before the break takes you.
EMOTIONAL  CONTROL
Anger is just one letter away from

	danger.
Never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.  Anger doesn't
solve anything or build anything, but it can destroy everything.  Anger
is the wind that blows out the lamp of the mind.  Holding on to anger
is like grasping a hot coal: You are the one who gets burned.  Don't
	hold a grudge. If you

find yourself in a hole, stop digging.
Anger marks a fool, then patience becomes a wise man.
N A T O

PASSIONATE

	PEACE  WITH  THE   PAST
The mind replays what the heart can't delete.  Don't let yesterday take up too much of today.  Cherish the past, but don't live in it.  Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.  If you don't let the past die, then it won't let you live.
When the past calls, let it go to voicemail.  Don't let the poison of the past spoil a fruitful future.  Focus on being present and creating a better future.
Rivers never go backward.  So try to live like a river.

PREPARING  YOURSELF
	FOR  TOMORROW
Today's accomplishments were yesterday's impossibilities; our limitations for tomorrow will be our doubts today.
The best preparation for tomorrow is to do your best today.  Yesterday's home runs don't win today's game.  Change the game; don't let the game change you.  If you don't like the road you're walking on, start paving another one.
Expecting things to change without putting in any effort is like waiting for a ship at the airport.
GROWTH  MINDSET

HUMILITY  AND  MODESTY
Life is a long lesson in humility.  Being modest is being very true to yourself.  Being
humble is being very true to everyone.  He who speaks without modesty will find it difficult to make his words good.  If a bamboo tube makes a loud sound, it is empty.  The higher the bamboo, the more it can be bent.  When
	pride comes, then comes
	disgrace, but with
	humility comes
	wisdom.
	SMILE
Your smile is your logo, your personality is your
business card, and the way you make others feel is your
trademark.  A smile is a friend-maker, an inexpensive way to improve your looks.  Make your smile cheaper and your anger more expensive.  The most beautiful smile belongs to those who make others smile. Use your smile to change the world; don't let the world change your smile.
	STAY  HEALTHY
	The best health care plan is a self-care plan.  Eat your food as your medicine; otherwise, you have to eat your medicine as your food.  Remember to take care of yourself;
you can't pour from an empty cup.  Take care of your body, it's the only place you have to live.  Invest in your health.  It will buy you more
	time.
	TOUCH  BASE
Base is where you feel comfortable, secure, loved, restored, and trusted.  Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.  Mastering others is strength; mastering yourself is true power.  Knowledge will give you power, but good character will give you respect.
The shape of your character is the shape of your future.

	CHARACTER

HAVING  INTEGRITY
Honesty is saying what you mean, integrity
is meaning what you say.  If it is not right do not do it; if it is not
true do not say it.  Don't ever
promise more than you can deliver, but always deliver more than you promise.
Make living your life with absolute integrity and kindness your first
priority.  Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself.
RULES FOR  LIFE
Call who calls you.  Ignore who ignores you.  Forget who forgets you.
	Love them who loves
	you.
RECIPROCITY
	RULE
Treat yourself well while not harming others.  Treat others well, while
	not harming yourself.
THE  SENTIMENT
	RULE
Use things, not people; Love people, not things.
SIMPLE  RULES

MOUTH  RULE

UNSPOKEN  RULES
Hold the door open for others if they're close
	behind you.
Don't cut in line at the grocery store.
When someone treats you to lunch or dinner, don't buy the most expensive dish on the menu.
Don't take someone's seat when they get up for a moment.
Don't make fun of your friend in front of his kids.
TOILET  RULES

If you lift it up, put it down.  If you're finished, flush it.
Gentlemen:  Stand closer; it may be shorter than you think.
	Ladies:  Please remain seated for
	the entire performance.

	SELF-DISCIPLINE

If it's not yours, don't take it.  If it's not right, don't do it.  If it's not true, don't say it.
Three golden rules:  Who is helping you.
	Don't forget them.
	 Who is loving you.
	Don't
hate them.  Who is believing in you.
	Don't cheat them.

	Two final rules:
	Number
	 1,
	Never Quit.   Number

	2, always remember  rule number

	1.   Not a second choice, the first option.

	DEDICATION  AND
	COMMITMENT

	The
Platinum Rule is " Treat everyone as they want to be treated ".
	The
Golden Rule says:  “ If you wouldn't like it done to you, don't do it to others ".
	The
Bronze Rule states:  " If they are not bothering you, don't bother them ".
The goal of the medal award is to come
	together in a way that
	avoids conflict.

When you are alone, mind your thoughts.
When you are with friends, mind your tongue.
When you are angry, mind your temper.
When you are with a group, mind your behavior.
When you are in trouble, mind your emotions.
When you start earning, mind your spending.
When God starts blessing you, mind your ego.
A person with integrity behaves ethically. Every great achiever is inspired by a great mentor. Don't explain the philosophy; embody it. Rules can be changed, ideas can improve, philosophy could be updated, and theory could be overthrown.
