The hardest battles are given to the strongest soldiers. Victory is reserved for those who are willing to pay its price. Accept what is. Let go of what was and have faith in what will be. Yesterday's home runs don't win today's games; tomorrow's rain won't catch you today. Honor may not win power, but it wins respect. And respect earns power. Every teacher was once a student. Every winner once was a loser. Every expert was once a beginner. But all of them have crossed the bridge called "Learning". If you focus on the problem, soon you will forget your goal. If you focus on your goal, soon you will forget the problem. A dead fish will float downstream, but it takes a live one to swim against the current.

Politics is tough. Some people don't defend what is right, they defend who they like and benefit from. A good bird chooses a tree to nest in, a wise official chooses a ruler to serve. The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Honor may not win power, but it wins respect. And respect earns power. We can ignore reality, but we cannot ignore the consequences of ignoring reality. "A man is not finished when he is defeated. He is finished when he quits." Courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. Those who stay by your side through your worst times, they're the ones who deserve to be with you through your best times. Just like someone who stands in the rain with you, when they have a choice to be dry. Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden and loyalty ends when benefits stop. When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane and going the wrong way. You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. Sometimes you make the right decision; sometimes you make the decision right. Your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride.
